Destination Spain, our DMC partner in Spain achieved Safe Travels certification, which recognizes the application of protocols to travel safely on a global scale. This stamp allows travelers to recognize, in any country, companies and destinations that have adopted standard protocols for security and prevention measures against COVID-19.
The SafeTravels Stamp was created for travellers to recognise destinations and businesses around the world which have adopted the SafeTravels health and hygiene global standardised protocols. Ultimately, they envision a future of travel that is safe, secure, seamless and provides an authentic and meaningful experience to the traveller across the journey; one which supports the livelihoods of millions and contributes to sustainable economic growth.
Moreover, Destination Spain was recently certified as a Biosphere Committed Entity. This recognition is awarded by Biosphere, the world organization entitled to set the standards to guide those organizations that want to operate under the principles of sustainability, in all its dimensions.
Biosphere Certification commits businesses to work for continuous improvement in all areas of socio-cultural, economic, and environmental sustainability through the 17 Development Goals Sustainable Development of the United Nations and the Guidelines of the Paris Climate Summit (COP21) and the World Charter for Sustainable Tourism +20.
