Sri Lanka's Safe Haven for Travelers: A Promising Outlook for 2023

Sri Lanka's Safe Haven for Travelers: A Promising Outlook for 2023! The Sri Lankan tourism industry has been one of the first to gradually recover following consecutive blows from the 2019 Easter attack, the Covid-19 pandemic, and the worst economic crisis in decades.

Sri Lanka is experiencing a significant increase in tourist arrivals. In the past 6 months, tourist arrivals have increased by 24.5%, 11.5%, 17.8%, 67.5%, and 175.8%, respectively. The month of May saw the largest increase, with tourist arrivals up by 175.8% compared to the previous month. This is likely due to a number of factors, including the easing of travel restrictions, improved economic stability and the improved security situation.

However, there has been a decline in tourist arrivals in June, indicating the end of the peak season in Sri Lanka. Nevertheless, the overall trend is positive, and it is expected that tourist arrivals to Sri Lanka will continue to grow in the coming months.

The increase in tourist arrivals is a sign that the country is recovering and becoming a more attractive destination for visitors from all over the world. We remain committed to providing exceptional service and unforgettable experiences to high-end travelers while prioritizing their safety and well-being. Together with our valued suppliers, we continue to position Sri Lanka as a premier destination, offering a harmonious blend of natural wonders, cultural heritage, and warm hospitality.
