Colombia consists of five natural regions, with over 300 different ecosystems, making it the second most biodiverse country in the world, and our DMC partner Galavanta Colombia shares what each is all about:

CARIBBEAN COAST • Colonial towns with vibrant cultures, indigenous tribes, and diverse ecosystems ranging coralline islands to deserts, tropical jungles, cloud forests, and snow-capped mountains.

ANDES MOUNTAINS • Emerald-green mountains home to cosmopolitan cities, colorful colonial towns, cottee haciendas, breathtaking landscapes and a lot of adventure!

LOS LLANOS • Wetland savannahs in the Orinoco basin, home to the barefoot-riding llanero cowboys and incredible wildlife, making it one of the top nature destinations.

AMAZON • Vast rainforest that comprises one third of Colombia's national territory, where most flora and fauna diversity can be found.

PACIFIC COAST • Tropical jungles that border wild beaches, home to African-Colombian villages, extraordinary marine life, including humpback whales, whale sharks, and one of largest sardine runs in the world.
