In 2026, Barcelona will host a grand cultural tribute unlike any other: the “Gaudí Year,” and our DMC partner Destination Spain is ready to curate custom experiences to mark 100 years since the death of Antoni Gaudí—the visionary architect whose work transformed the city’s skyline into an organic dreamscape. This year-long celebration honors Gaudí’s legacy, showcases his architectural genius, and invites the world to explore his most iconic creations woven into the very fabric of Barcelona. Who Was Antoni Gaudí? Antoni Gaudí (1852–1926) was a Catalan architect and modernist pioneer whose unique style blended organic forms, religious symbolism, and innovative structural techniques. Gaudí’s designs — deeply inspired by nature and geometry — revolutionized modern architecture and made Barcelona a global destination for enthusiasts of art and design.
