Projeto Oncafari with the Brazil Safari Company

Updated: May 11

Projeto Oncafari was founded by two of the partners of the Brazil Safari Company, Simon Bellingham (a wildlife guide from South Africa) and Mario Haberfeld (a conservationist from Brazil).

The association was created to promote environmental conservation and foster the socioeconomic development of the region through ecotourism and scientific studies.

Currently, they develop conservation initiatives to protect jaguars (Panthera onca) in the region of the Pantanal, in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul, and have initiated the maned wolf (Chrysocyon brachyurus) conservation activities in the town of Mogi Guaçu, in the Brazilian state of São Paulo.
